Job Description

As the Senior Director of Corporate Marketing at Elligo Health Research, you're a key leader driving growth and revenue. You develop and implement marketing strategies, manage budgets, and oversee brand development. Your expertise in Elligo's business lines and clients, as well as market understanding, ensures competitive positioning. You collaborate closely with sales, operations, and services leadership to create clear and compelling value propositions and messaging. Additionally, you work on campaign planning to effectively incorporate messaging into the company's marketing strategy.

 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Lead Elligo's marketing strategy, collaborating across teams to grow our audience and drive business initiatives.
  • Drive annual revenue, customer engagement, loyalty, and market share growth.
  • Craft marketing strategy, segment markets, and identify opportunities.
  • Create annual go-to-market plans with cross-functional alignment and data-driven decision-making to maximize ROI across various factors like funnel, geography, customer, product, and channel.
  • Own the commercial performance of our website and overall digital customer experience with a particular focus on content to drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with Sales leaders to ensure appropriate marketing strategies and develop effective approaches to maximize education and exposure of Elligo Health Research.
  • Develop metrics and communication tools to effectively manage market or segment strategy effectiveness.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of all marketing strategies based on benchmark information and KPI monitoring and adjust strategies based upon learnings and insights gained.
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans and strategy to drive revenue and customer interest.
  • Present and articulate marketing data and analytics to top leadership.
  • Collaborate with business development team to uncover insights for innovative marketing and branding strategies for focused therapeutic areas.
  • Represent the company at conventions, conferences, and industry trade shows. Prepare engaging displays and collateral as needed and provide post-event reports and analysis.
  • Gather market intelligence, competitive intelligence, competitive news, and other market indicators and share essential information throughout the organization.
  • Participate in annual budget creation and manage budget forecasts, expenditures, variances for projects or activities related to marketing plans.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Mentor and lead the marketing team to be productive, grow professionally, and meet the needs of Elligo.Health Research.
  • Ensure the team is aligned to the business strategy, monitor the team’s progress toward achieving business objectives, and hold the team accountable for achieving business results.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement appropriate/necessary training and professional development for self and staff reporting to the position.
  • Practice continuous improvement and oversee work activity to increase efficiency and improve the effectiveness and productivity of the marketing team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven background in successfully managing external vendors.
  • Successful track record in strategic corporate marketing and campaign design creation.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices including digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations and materials that drive successful campaigns and marketing tools to support sales and exposure.
  • Strong consensus building skills and the ability to find common ground or mutual agreement across complex topics between stakeholder groups - often involving compromise, negotiation, and similar tactics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout an organization to achieve business results.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a high pressure and deadline driven environment, proactively managing competing priorities.
  • Proactive and timely follow-up skills: the ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external stakeholder needs as needed.
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks, respond to department requests, and collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with HTML, content management systems, and design software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) SharePoint, and Salesforce; ability to understand, adapt, and leverage technology to drive strategic and operational success.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations or equivalent work experience is required. MBA is preferred.
  • 10 + or more years of marketing and corporate marketing experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing and mentoring a marketing team.
  • Experience in budget planning and management, performance measurement and analysis, and ROI optimization preferred.
  • 4+ years of pharma, biotech, medtech or clinical research experience required.
  • 4 + years’ experience managing external vendors.
