Career Opportunity

Join Cariloop as a Business Data Analyst!

As a BD Analyst, you will contribute to enhancing our overall business intelligence framework by taking data from insight to action. You will work cross-functionally to understand where and how data is utilized and facilitate opportunities to make data-driven decisions related to business operations, strategic planning, and forecasting. An ideal candidate for this position should have previous responsibilities working with large complex sets of data, designing data models, optimizing data workflows, and be proficient in using business intelligence tools for operational efficiency and storytelling. In addition to the collaborative opportunities, this role requires someone who can remain self-motivated while working independently with data and research.  This is a great opportunity for someone who has a background in data analysis, and business analysis, and/or considering a path to data engineering!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with business and leadership teams to understand reporting, data insight, and forecasting needs. 
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to determine patterns or trends.
  • Filter, clean, and transform large sets of raw data for accuracy and completeness using SQL and Domo ETL/Tools.
  • Translate statistical findings into actionable insights and visual aids to share key findings and recommendations. 
  • Assess new and existing SaaS platforms within our data ecosystem for elevated integration opportunities, with specific attention to the flow of structured data to and from different platforms 
  • Create, monitor, and maintain the performance of automated data pipelines from various systems in our ecosystem through to reporting dashboards. 
  • Provide analytical insight to support strategic planning, forecasting, and product development efforts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data-driven decision-making, streamline processes, and improve data integrity. 
  • Evaluate existing document management processes for retrieving, storing, and transferring data for effectiveness and identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics desired. 
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a similar Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst role. 
  • Technical expertise working with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solving. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience utilizing data tools such as SQL, R, or Python.
  • Able to navigate the use of visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Domo.
