Job Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator assists care teams in obtaining a comprehensive medical history of patients, reconciling medications, appropriately documenting the electronic medical record, and performing clinical testing and procedures, including allergy testing, diagnosis, treatment, and immunotherapy. This position provides leadership and direct oversight for clinical processes, ordering supplies, assisting with front office roles, medical assistants, and immunotherapy needs, and being point of contact for clinical equipment needs. This role operates in a team-based environment with a shared goal of providing safe and equitable care to all patients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of and demonstrates appropriate technique for obtaining vital signs and rooming patients
- Supports physician and nurse practitioner in all clinical aspects of allergy care
- Perform Allergy Skin Testing and Injections, Pulmonary Function Tests, and additional clinical skills
- Complete routine clinical tasks to support medical providers
- Handle all administrative and medical related duties in a timely manner
- Display a high level of professionalism in patient/parent interactions, adhering to HIPAA. Provide anticipatory guidance as to visit flow for patients upon triage
- Ability to appropriately document activities in EMR and lead training in EMR for new and existing staff
- Front Desk Administration including but not limited to check in - check out, schedule appointments, medical records requests, patient financial counseling
- Assist medical assistants and providers with maintaining patient flow to ensure patients are seen timely and efficiently
- Assist medical assistants and providers as needed by returning patient calls, scheduling appointments, and providing prescription refills, lab reports, etc.
- Assist with coordination of authorization, shipment, and inventory of biologics for specialty pharmacies
- Periodic training sessions and meetings with the clinical team
- Perform all job-related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous experience working with patients in a healthcare or medical setting

Education and Experience:
- Vocational/Technical/Business school
- Previous medical assistant experience
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience
- EMR experience
- At least two years of related experience required
Physical Requirements:
- The employee must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
