Job Description

The Account Manager upholds the mission and values established by Elligo. This role is responsible for building rapport with all clients to ensure they feel supported and that their Account Manager is an extension of their own business development operations. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  • Manages a stable of up to 25 clinical research site accounts within the Network by updating relevant client charts, scheduling and holding pipeline calls, performing customized research and procuring study opportunities, maintaining and updating relevant systems (Salesforce, Study Marketplace, etc.), among other key tasks 
  • Works diligently to understand client needs, capabilities, areas of therapeutic expertise, desired therapeutic areas to break into, and other relevant short- and long-term goals the client may have 
  • Works with the Associate Director to understand client goals, and proactively works to achieve, assess, and validate them on an ongoing basis 
  • Always maintains a high level of personalization of emails to all clients 
  • Schedules and hold at minimum bi-weekly pipeline calls with each client 
  • Maintains each client’s pipeline chart in Salesforce and exports updated pipeline to client every ten (10) business days, adhering to a customizable template showcasing an understanding of what studies need to be prioritized 
  • Advocates their site’s capabilities to the business development team and project managers for high-priority studies identified by site; submits “defense” material for each site twice (2x) per month in an effort to push site on studies 
  • Comes prepared with detailed agenda to 1o1 meetings bi-weekly with Associate Director in an effort to review goals & site progress 
  • Notifies Associate Director immediately whenever any kind of escalation (i.e. expression of unhappiness) occurs with any client 
  • Supports the Associate Director in client deliverables 
  • Participates in any side projects that may arise such as compiling attendee lists for conferences, locating contacts, organizing spreadsheets, and other administrative tasks 
  • Maintains solutions-oriented, highly professional demeanor at all times with each client and treats each site as though they are the most important in the Network
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in order to effectively deliver information to (and solicit information from) clients, internal team members, and managers. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a large volume of internal and external emails 
  • Ability to actively listen to each client in order to understand needs, goals, and key deliverables 
  • Willingness and eagerness to drive success to clients 
  • Ability to proactively identify and solve problems 
  • Ability to prioritize projects, clients, and responsibilities in general based on urgency and deadlines 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to work with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout Elligo to achieve business results effectively and professionally.
  • Proactive and timely follow-up skills: the ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external stakeholder needs as needed.
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks respond to department requests and collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and database applications. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 
  • 4 years minimum relevant professional experience
  • Familiarity with the clinical research industry is preferred 

 

ENVIRONMENT:

 

This is remote position based on the location of the incumbent’s home and operating in a home-office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and phones.

 

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

 

Approximately 10% travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities

  • Occasionally reach/work above shoulders, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 20 pounds.
