Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant assists care teams in obtaining a comprehensive medical history of patients, reconciles medications, and appropriately documents the electronic medical record. This position assists with allergy testing, diagnosis, treatment, and immunotherapy. The Certified Medical Assistant works in a team-based environment that requires strong communication skills.  

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Triage patients to obtain pulse, Oxygen levels, blood pressure, and vitals 
  • Obtain patient history and medications and chart it in patient file 
  • Administer allergy injections and educate patients on the results 
  • Perform skin testing, pulmonary testing, PFT’s, and prepare syringes and trays with extracts 
  • Obtain medication authorization 
  • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean 
  • Communicate with the Department Lead and/or appropriate members of the management team as needed 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records 
  • Manage patient inquiries and process paperwork 
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers for referrals or consultations 
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment 
Education and Experience:
  • Certified Medical Assistant 
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic 
  • Experience in administering injections and taking vitals 
  • Knowledge of patient safety and OSHA Understanding  

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working at a computer  
  • Constant standing and walking around the clinic  
  • The employee must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
