Medix Infusion is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting department. As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees staff assigned to the A/P function and directs the daily operations of processing invoices and payments.
• Allows for timely vendor payments by ensuring processes around receiving, processing, validating, and reconciling invoices are in place and adhered to.
• Ensures expenses are charged to appropriate cost centers by analyzing invoices and reviewing/recording entries.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports and balances to vendor statements.
• Validates credit is received for outstanding memos and disputed invoices.
• Confirms discount opportunities are taken when available and accuracy of pricing.
• Reports sales taxes, as needed, by calculating or identifying requirements on invoices.
• Assists Procurement and Supply Chain Manager with formulary compliance.
• May assist in cycle inventory counts in pharmacy and clinics.
• Maintains appropriate documentation and confidentiality.
• Supplies necessary data during development of company budget as it pertains to material goods.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounts payable regulations.
• Will become proficient in the operation of Intacct, CPR+ and InfuseFlow.
• Other related duties as assigned.
