Job Summary:
AllerVie is hiring an Administrative Assistant to become part of our growing team! We are looking for candidates with a great attitude, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assists with credentialing and enrollment with payers, licensing with providers, and contract review with payers.
  • Performs claim edit resolution, payment posting, payment reconciliation, unapplied processing, and refund processing when necessary to support existing billing workflows.
  • Maintains on-going project timelines and status with weekly updates to the Practice Manager.
  • Works closely with and supports management to meet project goals.
  • Primary point of contact for insurance errors resulting in denied claims and ability to resolve insurance disputes including coordination of benefits and incorrect demographics.
  • Completes audits and audit reports for functional areas of responsibility, reporting to management any concerns.
  • Verify insurance for patients prior to appointment.
  • Verify policies are active and coordination of benefits are correct.
  • Managing documents and files.
  • Assist with inventory and ordering.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement new procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize large volumes of work.
  • Work requires good communication skills.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Medical billing or collections experience preferred.
  • Previous Assistant Management experienced preferred.
