Job Description

The Senior Product Manager is a part of the Elligo internal software development team, focused on the design and build of our IntElligo platform which serves as a patient recruitment, eSource, and financial management solution for Elligo’s unique Goes Direct approach to clinical research.

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for all facets of the product - strategy, priorities, design, delivery, and end user support.

The Senior Product Manager will participate in Agile software development and have the opportunity to wear many different hats. Multi-tasking and leading the team while adapting to changing business needs and facilitate quick delivery.

This position is focused on a program of work intended to improve clinician facing workflows supporting data collection and clinical trial oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with leadership to understand and define business strategy to craft and maintain a product backlog.
  • Translate business objectives into requirements and user stories.
  • Contribute to functional and visual workflow design.
  • Keep product backlog appropriately prioritized and groomed.
  • Serve as a Product Owner where needed to drive software development efforts.
  • Document new release features and help train users.
  • Gather feedback from internal and external users and track core product metrics.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for stakeholders and an escalation point for production troubleshooting and support activities.
  • Work directly with software and QA engineers in an open, collaborative environment.
  • Report progress and make product recommendations to senior leadership.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES 
  • Experienced in designing and building SaaS web applications
  • Experienced in applying Agile software development processes
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in Product strategy
  • Knowledgeable of processes and experienced utilizing full life-cycle Product Management methods
  • Knowledgeable of methods and experienced as an Agile Scrum Master
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Background in healthcare or life sciences is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS 
  • 5 or more years of product management or related experience.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Background in healthcare or life sciences is a plus.
  • Experience with workflow related products is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Little travel is required for this position.
