KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, lead, manage, and coach high performing teams for business intelligence
  • Ensure teams have appropriate direction, leadership, and balance between short-term impact and long-term strategy
  • Collaborate with and influence senior leaders to shape the business intelligence vision, platforms, and corresponding roadmaps across the company
  • Offer ideation for the development of intellectual property with business stakeholders and leaders
  • Contribute to presentations to leadership related to strategic people, process and technology planning, as well as, technology updates on progress and next steps
  • Provide hands on analyses on individual projects when needed
  • Ability to meet with users to understand requirements and document those requirements for consumption by the technology team
  • Supervise implementations of technology projects and support the resulting features in a Production environment
  • Lead and own projects from conception to production and support
  • Implement processes and policies to ensure high quality of results, high transparency with end users and stakeholders and timely delivery of features
  • Ensure adherence to target state technical architectures is met
  • Ensure rich feature documentation exists and is easily accessible to internal stakeholders

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Highly ambitious, given role will grow as the company does

  • High standard of quality and commitment to produce top-notch work
  • Experience leading software development teams with successful, iterative results
  • Ability to understand and govern technical architectures to ensure future scale
  • Strong curiosity, desire to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work well with people of different backgrounds and skill sets
  • Proficiency articulating vision and plans through presentations and written and verbal communications
  • Proficiency and experience developing and optimizing Structured Query Language (SQL) to analyze and query data preferred
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting platform like Tableau preferred
  • Ability to multi-task across a range of diverse projects
  • Ability to work independently and in a highly virtual environment, with colleagues all over the country
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends when required
  • Willingness to cover after-hours support when needed


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. from highly selective university in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or physics
  • 3+ years managing a distributed team
  • 5+ years experience in building and managing software development teams
  • Experience with company hypergrowth and related talent development
